Satisfaction

I am learning so much in my current "Crazy Love" Bible study. I'd love to share a lot more about this book with you in the future- when I'm not preparing to be in Austin for JOEY'S WEDDING!!! But for now I just don't have the time to elaborate to the extent that this book deserves. I really can't recommend it enough.

In the meantime, I'll just leave you with this John Piper quote that Francis Chan included in this week's chapter:
“The critical question for our generation—and for every generation—is this: If you could have heaven, with no sickness, and with all the friends you ever had on earth, and all the food you ever liked, and all the leisure activities you ever enjoyed, and all the natural beauties you ever saw, all the physical pleasures you ever tasted, and no human conflict or any natural disasters, could you be satisfied with heaven, if Christ was not there?”

I'm glad you guys are posting more. You know... it may seem kinda lame that I read blogs so much, but that's what I got when it comes to hanging out with American friends a million miles away... so keep blogging...it's like I'm actually seeing you around.

Also, on the question you quoted, I say, YES! I mean, would I be 100% satisfied... well no, it would be better if Jesus were there. But if he wasn't, I'd be ok. I'd be in heaven with everything I've ever really known and loved... it'd be like having your wedding without a family member there. I'd be sad that it didn't work out like I thought it would, but the party would still be awesome.

But there you are... all posting this prompting question without giving YOUR answer. So, post JOEY'S WEDDING... ?
